1. Who operates SplitWork
SplitWork is operated by Summitforge Strategies LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("SplitWork," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy applies to the SplitWork web app, iPhone and Apple Watch experiences, splitwork.pro, and related services.
Questions and privacy requests may be sent to support@summitforgestrategies.com.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect your email address, account identifier, authentication records, profile name, optional profile image or image URL, division, training experience, goals, race details, equipment, schedule preferences, nutrition targets, weight, and limitations or injuries you choose to provide.
Fitness, health, and performance information
SplitWork processes workout type, title, date and time, duration, distance, pace, heart rate, calories, workout and station splits, exercises, weights, repetitions, race simulations, performance estimates, workout source, and notes. This information may be entered manually, recorded through SplitWork, imported from files, or received from Apple Health or Strava when you authorize those connections.
Nutrition and readiness information
We process meals, food descriptions, serving sizes, calories, macronutrients, hydration, nutrition notes and targets, meal photos submitted for analysis, and readiness check-ins such as sleep quality, energy, soreness, and whether you report pain.
Coaching and social information
We process coaching questions, recent coaching history, recommendation feedback, partner invitations, household or team membership, shared activity, likes, comments, and other information you choose to provide through these features.
Device, notification, and technical information
When needed to operate and secure the service, we process push-notification tokens, notification preferences and delivery status, native health-sync device credentials, browser or device type, IP address, request timestamps, diagnostic information, and security events. We use necessary browser storage to maintain your signed-in session and app preferences. We do not currently use advertising trackers on splitwork.pro.
3. How we collect information
We collect information:
- directly from you when you create an account, enter data, upload a photo or file, or contact us;
- from your device when you use the app, request notifications, or sync a workout;
- from Apple Health and Strava only after you authorize the connection;
- from a connected training partner when they interact with shared features; and
- from service providers that help us operate, secure, and deliver SplitWork.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account and maintain your selected settings;
- record, import, display, and analyze workouts, nutrition, readiness, and race simulations;
- generate coaching suggestions, meal estimates, performance insights, and session summaries;
- operate Apple Watch, Apple Health, Strava, partner, and notification features;
- respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service;
- detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect users and the service; and
- comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use HealthKit information for advertising, marketing, or data mining unrelated to your health and fitness experience.
5. AI features and meal photos
SplitWork uses AI to estimate meal contents and provide personalized coaching. Meal photos or descriptions are sent to OpenAI through a secured SplitWork server function. A meal photo is not saved in your SplitWork nutrition record after analysis, although the meal items and nutrition values you approve are saved.
Coaching requests may send your question, recent conversation, and limited training, nutrition, readiness, event, equipment, and profile context to OpenAI or to a private Summitforge-operated coaching server. SplitWork requests stateless processing from OpenAI. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default and may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for service delivery and abuse monitoring, unless a different approved retention setting applies. The private coaching server may keep a bounded coaching history to provide continuity.
AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review meal estimates, workout suggestions, and other generated guidance before relying on them.
6. Apple Health and Apple Watch
If you enable Apple Health, SplitWork requests permission to read workout records and related active energy, walking or running distance, and heart-rate information. The Apple Watch app may also create workouts in Apple Health. Apple controls the HealthKit permission interface, and you can change access in iPhone Settings or the Health app at any time.
Revoking access stops future HealthKit access but does not automatically delete records already imported into SplitWork. Deleting data from SplitWork does not delete the original data held in Apple Health.
7. When we share information
We disclose information only as needed for the following purposes:
- Service providers. Supabase provides authentication and database services; Netlify provides hosting and server functions; OpenAI processes AI requests; Apple and browser push services deliver notifications; and our private coaching server processes coaching requests when used.
- Connected services. We exchange data with Apple Health and Strava when you direct us to connect those services. Open Food Facts receives food-search terms, not your SplitWork account profile.
- Your partner. A partner in your SplitWork household can view shared household activity and analytics, including profile, workout, simulation, nutrition, and partner-interaction data exposed by those shared views. They cannot edit your private account settings.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to valid legal process.
- Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and this Policy.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or disclose HealthKit or Strava information to advertising platforms or data brokers. We require service providers to protect information consistently with their contracts and applicable law.
8. Retention and deletion
Account, profile, workout, nutrition, readiness, partner, and coaching records are kept while your account is active and until you delete them or your account, unless we need a limited period to complete deletion, maintain security, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Encrypted Strava credentials are kept until you disconnect Strava or delete your account. Push tokens are kept until they are replaced, removed, invalidated, or the account is deleted. Meal images are processed for the requested estimate and are not stored in your SplitWork nutrition record.
You can delete your account in SplitWork Settings by opening "Permanently delete my account," verifying the signed-in email, and entering DELETE. Account deletion revokes connected Strava access, deletes the account's private coaching memory, and removes account-owned data. If a partner remains, team ownership and records legitimately shared with the team may remain with that partner; deleting a solo account deletes the household. Backups and provider logs may persist for a limited period before secure deletion.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can:
- update profile, workout, nutrition, readiness, and notification settings in the app;
- decline or revoke Apple Health, Strava, camera, and notification permissions;
- disconnect Strava and remove imported Strava data through Connected Workouts;
- clear supported logged data or permanently delete your account in Settings; and
- request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, or to appeal a denied request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
10. Security and international processing
We use encrypted transport, authenticated access, row-level database controls, restricted server credentials, encrypted connected-service tokens, and other safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
11. Children
SplitWork is designed for adults and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as SplitWork changes. We will post the revised Policy here and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects how we handle sensitive information.
